Here we have the Xecuter CoolRunner QSB Slim v3 Corona, these are the third generation of quick solder boards that are used in conjunction with a CoolRunner install to simplify the install process. These are the first standalone QSB for the Corona v1 16MB motherboards after the release of the Upgrade QSB which was used with the CoolRunner Rev C’s to add corona support. Note these are intended to be used with the CR3 Lite when doing a Corona v1 board, they are not intended to be used with the CR Rev C unless you are installing a crystal yourself. Xecuter have also added a new feature to the Slim QSB v3 boards to simplify the install even further, we explain more about this newly added feature below which we know will be quite handy for some people.

There is a new feature added to all the QSB v3 models which allows you to view the CPU_Key via the J-Runner software, this is most handy for the Corona as we all know you can only get the CPU Key on Corona boards over Ethernet as it does not display on the screen in Xell. This new feature has been made possible by the edition Comm’s port to the QSB v3 itself, to use this Comm’s port and to see the CPU Key in J-Runner you will be required to also buy one of the QSB V3 Monitor / Comms USB Cables which we also sell. This cable can be used with all the QSB v3’s so you can grab the CPU key directly into J-Runner.

So if you want to make your install neater, quicker and wish to avoid having to retrieve the CPU key via Ethernet these latest Xecuter CoolRunner QSB Slim v3 for Corona are going to be a great little add-on board.
